At each school or college of optometry there is an individual, usually in the Office of Student Affairs, who acts as a liaison to the National Board. This individual can be consulted on any matter pertaining to the examinations. Refer to the roster of these College Liaison Administrators for more information.
Apply online. There is an interactive application form included as part of the National Board's web site. You must pay your fees by credit card to use the online application form.
!!! IMPORTANT !!!
Completion of the online application form requires you to include your credit card information. By using a credit card, you can complete the entire transaction online. All information entered into the electronic application form (including credit card information) is transmitted to the National Board via "SSL" which supports secure transactions (128-bit encrypted code). Every possible effort has been made to ensure that your application information is transmitted privately.
Applying online is the quickest and easiest way to apply for a National Board examination. In order to complete the online application form you will need to be using a web browser that supports "SSL". This would include Netscape version 7.1 and above or Internet Explorer version 5.5 and above.
The National Board is unable to accept payments that are received separate from your application materials. If you do not have a credit card, or you do not wish to submit credit card information over the Internet, you cannot use the online application.
