Important Change to the Clinical Skills Examination (CSE) Equipment that Candidates Must Supply
While the National Board initially posted that Candidates must supply a binocular indirect ophthalmoscope (BIO) with a teaching mirror for CSE, this requirement has been modified for April 2008. BIO has now been added to the list of equipment that Candidates may bring to the examination. The CSE test centers will be providing BIOs in the exam rooms, same as in past years.
If Candidates wish to use their own BIOs for CSE, the BIO must have a teaching mirror.
